Here is a delicious and very chocolatey cookie my wife made this past week. If you like it extra chocolatey, you’ll really like this one. This is a recipe for standard chocolate chip cookies that my wife modified by adding double chocolate chips!

Chocolate Double Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup softened butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder.
  2. Beat the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Fold in the chips. Drop by heaped teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets.
  3. Bake in preheated oven until the edges are golden, 9 to 12 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
