This recipe has been handed down through my wife’s grandmother. Her German heritage is rich with recipes like this one. With the addition of bacon pieces added to this gravy, it becomes German bacon dressing. Also used to make German potato salad.

- 2 Tablespoons bacon grease
- 1 Tablespoon beef bouillon
- 2 Tablespoons sugar
- 1 Tablespoon flour
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup water
- In a saucepan, melt the bacon grease, stir in beef bouillon, sugar and flour.
- Add vinegar and water. Heat to desired consistency.
