Here is a great marinade to add a bit of smoky flavoring to your meat without smoking it on the grill or smoker. This should be good for any poultry or pork.

We just recently marinated chicken breasts in it and baked it in the oven. So very tasty! The sage in particularly gave it a delicious flavor. So give it a try. I’d love to hear back from you if you do.

Savory & Smoky Marinade

Ingredients

2 teaspoons ground sage
2 teaspoons rosemary leaves
4 teaspoons chopped chives
2 cups balsamic vinegar
4 Tablespoons olive oil
1/2 cup Soy sauce
2 teaspoons liquid smoke

Preparation

In a mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients together and pour over the meat of your choice in a sealable container. Seal it up and put the container into the refrigerator to marinate over night, or for about 8 hours.
