Here’s one for those that need the heat. I personally prefer the flavors on the mild side, but once in a while you just have to heat things up! This dry rub will go well on any meat, but I would say it goes best used on beef cuts.
Make sure you have some tissues at the table to wipe the tears from your eyes when you eat the meat rubbed with this one! Hooo – Boy!!
Little Sweet ~ Lotta Heat Dry Rub
Ingredients
1/4 cup ground cumin
1/4 cup chili powder
2 tablespoons ground coriander
1 tablespoons cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
1 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoons brown sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons salt
Preparation
This is the easy part. Put it all in a bowl and mix it all together. Rub generously on all surfaces of the meat.

My son (Curt) makes almost the same exact rub. Great Curts think alike!~ I cant believe how similar this is… we love it you diffinitely made a great rub here!
Thanks for the compliment!
That is interesting, because this one is a combination of tweaks from 3 or 4 different rubs I’ve used.
Add some here, take some out of there! But then I usually take most of the heat out for myself.
This is a great rub for grilling
Thanks. Even though it’s got a lot of heat in it, I still have to throw that cinnamon in. I find myself using cinnamon in a lot of rubs and marinades.
This looks amazing. I have never done my own rub before. I must try this.
Hi Kim. Thanks! I experiment all the time with rubs and marinades.
I’m working on some unusual combinations right now, but am waiting to see how they actually turn out first.
